Dear Patient, during this time of National and World crisis I wanted to reassure you that we will continue to function at 5 Countyview Terrace, we continue to adhere to our own very strict guidelines for cross infection control and have also taken on board and utilise the coronavirus cross infection control guidelines laid down by the American, British and Irish Dental Associations,the Department of Health and the HSE infection control agencies. We will continue to provide emergency dental care for all of our patients.
I myself will continue to provide out of hours emergency care going forward. This service has been ongoing since I set up EMERGYDENTAL in 2011 and I will continue to be available on Saturdays,Sundays and evenings. In order that we can continue to protect staff and patients alike we would ask that you refrain from attending the practice, self isolate immediately and CONTACT your GP should you exhibit symptoms of a respiratory tract infection such as influenza, fever, shortness of breath or dry coughing symptoms.
If you are attending, please attend at your appointed time as we will endeavour to ensure that there are as few patients as possible in the practice on an hour to hour basis,if you wish to wait outside and only come in when we are ready to see you please feel free to notify the practice of same and we will message you when we are ready to take you directly into the surgery.We will create scheduled delays between appointments to reduce patient to patient contact as much as possible and we ask that you would attend on your own for your appointment and avoid bringing friends and family with you.
We have also put in place a mouth rinsing protocol where you will rinse with a mouth rinse that kills the virus in the oral cavity. We also have full supply of Personal Protective Equipment and have full face respirator masks in place for all procedures. I can also telephone triage for you and give you a prescription over the phone if you are unable to travel to the practice.
